TI Cycles, a leading bicycle manufacturer, which is a unit of the $3.2 billion Murugappa Group, rolled-out India’s first carbon made bicycle – Montra on Thursday. The Montra has been designed and produced locally. The company has signed the Formula 1 driver Karun Chandok as its brand ambassador for these high-end bicycles. These lightweight bicycles have been priced in the range of Rs 21,000 and Rs 1.5 lakh.
The new age Montra range of bikes has been developed in the view of rising demand for high-end, lightweight bicycles in the Indian market. The advanced bicycles will be roped-in a lifestyle product for adults in urban and semi-urban areas.
The all new Montra has been rolled-out in three variants including a complete carbon bicycle and two bicycles with alloy frame and carbon forks with different features. While the price of alloy range of models starts from Rs 21,000, the carbon range is much costlier and starts at Rs 60,000.
